    Butze Rapids Interpretive Trail
    Hikers can walk along the boardwalk through a lush rain forest environment, spotting deers, bald eagles and other wildlife. No bikes or motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. Access: 15 minutes by car, east of Prince Rupert, Hwy. 16

    Mount Edziza Provincial Park

    Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary
    This valley is home to the protected grizzly bear. Other species that frequent the sanctuary are wolves, orcas, seals, beaver, and more than 100 species of birds.
